Green Mung Chutney is quick to prepare dish, simple yet delicious chutney to eat with any type of Indian flat breads. They’re relatively easy to digest too. Green gram as such is healthy to eat, high in proteins, fiber and nutrients.

Ingredients

  • 50 gms Green Gram Fried
  • 4 tbsp Coconut Grated
  • 1 Nos Green Chilli
  • 1 Pod Garlic
  • 1 Nos Country Tomato
  • 1 tbsp Salt Table Salt
  • 1 tbsp Gingelly Oil Cold Press Oil
  • ½ tbsp Mustard seeds
  • ½ tbsp Split Black Gram
  • 2 Stalks Curry leaves Fresh
  • ½ Cup (As Required) Water

Instructions

  • Grind all the ingredients together in a mixture with a few curry leaves into a coarse paste.
  • Temper mustard seeds, black gram and curry leaves use of heated gingelly oil.
  • Mix and serve.

Notes

Health tip:
           Green gram can be dried and powdered and mixed with jaggery and nuts. This can be made into small balls and can be given to children to meet their daily nutritional requirement.
