Ingredients

  • 100 gms Spinach (palak)
  • 50 gms Split Green Gram
  • 2 nos Onion medium size chopped
  • 2 nos Medium size Whole
  • 3 nos Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp Coriander seeds
  • 1 Pinch Turmeric powder
  • 1 no Green Chilli
  • 2 tbsp Gingelly oil
  • 150 ml Water
  • as required Salt

Instructions

  • Cook the green gram in a vessel with 100 ml of water along with a pinch of turmeric powder and a few drops of oil until 3/4'th done
  • Set aside, boil 50 ml of water in a vessel and soak the palak leaves in it for two minutes
  • Heat the oil in a pan
  • Fry Cumin seeds, Coriander seeds, Garlic, green chilli and onion
  • Saute the whole tomatoes in the remnant oil
  • Cool all the ingredients
  • Grind the palak leaves and rest of the ingredients followed by the green gram
  • serve hot
