Equipment

Ingredients

  • 100 gms Green Gram Roasted
  • 2 Nos Onion (Medium Size)
  • 2 Nos Toato
  • ½ Cup Coconut Grated
  • 1 tbsp Cumin seeds
  • ¼ tbsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 Pinch Turmeric powder
  • 1 No Green Chilli
  • 2 tbsp Gingelly oil Cold press oil
  • 1 Stalk Curry Leaves
  • 200 ml Water
  • 1 tbsp Salt Table salt

Instructions

  • Dry roast the green gram until a flavour some aroma arises.
  • Add water and pressure cook with a pinch of turmeric for 2-3 whistles.
  • Heat oil in a pan, temper mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  • Saute onions until golden brown, add tomatoes and fry them for 30 Seconds.
  • Grind coconut, cumin seeds and green chillies coarsely with water in a mixture.
  • Add the cooked green gram and ground coconut mixture to the pan and cook for few minutes meanwhile addition of salt has to be done.
  • Serve hot.

Notes

Note:
       The gravy can be made more appetizing by the addition a tsp of freshly ground, roasted coriander powder.
