Instructions
cook the split green gram with 100 ml of water, turmeric and a few drops of oil until half done
Add Bottle gourd to the above and cook thoroughly
Add salt and cumin powder and asafoetida
Heat oil in a pan and temper mustard seeds, black gram and curry leaves, add to the above
Garnish with chopped coriander
Serve hot with rice and sambar or rasam
