Capsicum Salad

Finely chop the multi colour Capsicums and mix with Carrot, grated coconut and cucumber. Add salt & pepper, lemon juice, cumin powder and make it mix in a bowl. Garnish with coriander leaves and then serve

Ingredients

  • 20 gms Red Capsicum Finely chopped
  • 20 gms Green Capsicum Finely chopped
  • 20 gms Yellow Capsicum Finely chopped
  • 20 gms Carrot Finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp Cucumber chopped
  • 1 Pinch cumin powder
  • 1 Pinch Pepper
  • 1 Pinch Salt Table salt
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice Fresh
  • 2 tbsp Coconut Grated

Instructions

  • Cut washed Capsicum, Cucumber & Carrot into square pieces.
  • Add Cumin powder, Grated coconut, Salt & Pepper and lemon juice
  • Mix all the ingredients in a bowl then garnish with coriander leaves and serve

Notes

Capsicum also known as Bell peppers / chilli peppers / paprika / Cayenne pepper according to the country from which they originate are available in three different hues Red, Green & Yellow. they are very rich in anti oxidants like Vitamin A,C & E. Each coloured pepper has a different phyto chemical & nutrient in it. The active ingredient capsacin that is present in capsicum is a pain releiver.
