Little Millet ( Samai ) Vegetable pulao
Little Millet Pulao is delicious pulao recipe made using little millet or Samai as it is known in Tamil. It’s great grain to make pulao if you are looking to replace rice from your diet. Little millet is lower in GI as compared to rice and is a gluten-free grain. If you know how to cook right this Little millet can be substituted for rice in most of the dishes.

Ingredients
- 2 Cups Little millet ( Samai )
- 50 gms` Carrot Chopped
- 50 gms Beans Chopped
- 50 gms Green peas Fresh
- 50 gms Knol khol chopped
- 50 gms Turnip chopped
- 10 gms Beetroot Chopped
- 2 tbsp Ginger and Garlic paste
- 50 gms Coriander leaves Finely Chopped
- 100 gms Mint leaves Finely Chopped
- 2 Nos Green chilly Chopped
- 2 Nos Onion Chopped
- 2 Nos Tomatoes Chopped
- 1 tbsp ( As Required ) Salt Table salt
- 1 Pinch Turmeric Powder
- 3 tbsp Gingelly oil Cold press oil
- 3 Cups Water
Instructions
- Heat the gingelly oil in a steam cooker and add onions, green chillies, coriander leaves, mint, ginger, garlic paste, tomato and vegetables. one after another.
- Add six glasses of boiled water to the above mixture.
- Add the millet and steam cook (3 whistles )
- Serve hot with vegetable kurma.
